    Magadh Sugar & Energy Limited is a key part of the prestigious K.K. Birla Group of Sugar Companies, benefiting from decades of expertise in the sugar industry. Our units, originally established in 1932, were restructured through strategic mergers and demergers on March 19, 2015. Our core operations focus on producing sugar and its by-products: Ethanol and Power Co-generation using biofuel. Led by our Chairman, Sri Chandra Shekhar Nopany, and supported by a team of skilled executives, we are dedicated to sustained growth and excellence in execution.

    We operate three advanced sugar complexes in Bihar: Narkatiaganj, Sidhwalia, and Hasanpur. Our facilities have a total crushing capacity of 19,000 TCD, a distillery capacity of 155 KLPD, and a power co-generation capacity of 38 MW. Our strong infrastructure reflects our commitment to excellence and sustainable performance.

    Chandra Shekhar Nopany

    Chairperson

    Mr. Chandra Shekhar Nopany is our Promoter and Chairman of the Company. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA (1989).

    As an eminent industrialist, Mr. Nopany has extensive experience across diverse sectors, including sugar, tea, textiles, fertilizers, and chemicals. He has served as the past President of the Indian Chambers of Commerce and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of FICCI. Additionally, he has been honoured with the role of Honorary Consul of Portugal in Kolkata.

    Mr. Padam Kumar Khaitan

    Mr. Padam Kumar Khaitan is an eminent lawyer specialising in Corporate Law and a senior partner of the renowned law firm Khaitan & Company LLP. He has experience in Corporate, Commercial, Joint Venture, Foreign Collaboration, Foreign Investment, Litigation, Arbitration, Real Estate, Trust and Personal Clientele work.

    Mr. Yashwant Kumar Daga

    Mr. Yashwant Kumar Daga is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce and an eminent industrialist with varied experience of more than 25 years, particularly in tea, textiles, spinning, hydropower and engineering. He has served on the elected committee of Tea Association of India and Indian Chamber of Commerce Kolkata. He has served as Chairman of Darjeeling planters Association besides being its elected member for many years.

    Mr. Ishwari Prosad Singh Roy

    Mr. Ishwari Prosad Singh Roy has completed his Masters Degree in Arts from Calcutta University and has done his Bachelors of Law from Kings College, London. Mr Singh Roy is an Advocate having about 40 years of experience and has appeared in large number of commercial and industrial law matters before Industrial Tribunals, High Courts and Supreme Court of India.

    Mr. Raj Kumar Bagri

    Mr. Raj Kumar Bagri is an eminent Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant and was associated with S R Batliboi & Co. (EY) in different capacities including Partner before venturing out on own earlier with Doshi, Chatterjee, Bagri & Co. and now with N D A & Associates as a leading partner looking after their assurance practices and has gain experience in auditing of manufacturing sectors like Sugar, automobile, textile, jute, cement, glass, paper, etc. He was also President of the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Calcutta Chapter for the year 2006-07.

    Ms. Shashi Sharma

    Ms. Shashi Sharma is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Graduate Degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. She is also a Certified Treasury Manager from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, besides being an Alumni of London Business School, London. During her stint with Tourism Finance Corp. of India Ltd. She has first served as a Non-Executive Director and then as a Managing Director of the Company. Ms Sharma has also served as the Chief Treasury and Investment Officer at IFCI Limited before being elevated to the position of Executive Director. She has also served as a Director at Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited besides being a member of the Corporate Bond Securitization Advisory Committee set up by SEBI.

    Mr. Rajan Arvind Dalal

    Mr. Rajan Arvind Dalal has over 50 years of vast experience in running various businesses with varied experience in international and financial markets. He has been associated with various industries and has extensive experience spanning multiple businesses and varied functions including creating dealer networks, wealth management, investment in equity and debt market, capital raising etc.

    Mr. Chandra Mohan holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Roorkie and has over 30 years of experience in working in Sugar industries in varied designations before reaching the top position of the Unit Head. Mr Chandra Mohan possess sound knowledge in technical areas of sugar factory besides being a good administrator and controller.
